Sean Gunn is widely recognized for his roles as Kraglin in the smash film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2 (2014 and 2017) from Marvel Studios and as Kirk Gleason on the long-running series Gilmore Girls. In addition to those on-screen roles, Gunn played a vital role in Guardians as the on-set performance of Rocket Racoon and Thanos, roles that were later voiced by Bradley Cooper and Josh Brolin.
Gunn’s first role was that of Sammy Capulet in the cult Troma film Tromeo & Juliet (1996), a film directed by Lloyd Kaufman and written by his brother James Gunn, writer/director of Guardians. He has made a wide variety of television guest appearances in shows including Angel, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Andy Richter Controls the Universe and Bunheads. He also plays the role of Jason O’Brien on the Bryan Singer produced web series H+, alongside Alexis Denisof (Angel), Caitriona Balfe (Outlander) and Hannah Simone (New Girl). Over the course of his acting career, he’s appeared in several feature films, most notably Super (2010), written and directed by James Gunn and starring Rain Wilson, Liv Tyler and Ellen Page, as well as The Giant Mechanical Man (2012) with Jenna Fischer and Chris Messina. Sean is also the voice actor behind the character of "Swan" in the 2012 Warner Bros video game hit, Lollipop Chainsaw, also written by James Gunn.
Working so well with his brother, he co-created the comedy web series PG Porn, which featured guest appearances by Nathan Fillion, Michael Rosenbaum and Alan Tudyk.
